Biscuits are a great addition to any meal, especially ones that include a lot of sauce or a hearty bowl of soup. These biscuits contain all of the flavor of regular biscuits with far less calories. You can use any herbs you like to go with whatever dish you're making. They are very quick and easy to make so you can have a new go to!
Start by preheating your oven to 450 degrees. In a bowl, mix together your whole wheat flour, baking powder, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, stevia and rosemary, or other herb of your choice. Cut in your coconut oil until it is well blended with the flour mix. The final step is to add in your almond milk and mix until your dough is formed. With floured hands, take the dough and form into flat balls on a baking sheet sprayed with coconut oil and bake for about 15 minutes. Now you have healthy whole wheat biscuits! For more flavor, throw in some shredded low-fat cheese to the dough before you bake it. Eat it with jelly, butter or on its own!
