Pie crusts don't always need have butter and flour to be a great dessert. This nut free Date-Oat Pie Crust allows you to keep all of those great fruit pie fillings you love without the added guilt. Now you can keep each part of your meal healthy and clean while getting your sweet tooth fix.
This recipe is so easy and quick you'll never want to make another regular pie crust again! All you need are dates, rolled oats and water. Just mix the dates and oats in a food processor until well combined, adding water as needed. Form into mini pie crusts by using muffin tins, cover and place in the freezer for about 2 hours. Now you have individual pie crusts which will become the cutest pies ever. You can fill these with pretty much anything, like my Peach Pie Filling, Mexican Hot Chocolate Avocado Mouse, or even just Nutella and fruit! Feel free to double or triple the recipe as needed.
