Sangria makes for a great portable summer cocktail. All you need to do is buy a jug with a nozzle and you can bring it just about anywhere. It's perfect to bring to a friend's house, the beach, or even a cookout in your own backyard. As you can tell, I chose the beach!
Start with 2 bottles of your choice of dry white wine. I used Sauvignon Blanc but Chardonnay works too. Pour the wine into the container and add a 2 Liter bottle of Sprite Zero or Sparkling Water. Next, add 1/4 cup of Triple Sec or Cointreau (orange liqueur). Chop up all of your fruit and add it to the Sangria. I used oranges, mango and apples along with a few sprigs of mint! You can also use strawberries, cherries, limes, or any other fruit you like. Make sure to take the rinds off of fruit, such as oranges and limes because rinds can create a bitter and unpleasant taste after sitting for a while. Next, add some ice and let your sangria sit for about an hour. Bring a ladle to easily scoop out the fruit to add to your cup. Now just pour and enjoy!
